So things are going well. I haven't been as good about keeping this updated as I'd hoped. The only biggest news in my life is that I have decided to lay back on running and have accepted that doing this will prevent me from doing the Chicago Marathon. I have been training for 8 weeks now and things are getting more and more painful. SO, the plan is to stop running as intensely and come back it is in a few months. Right now I am really enjoying it. But soon I know I'll have the urge to run....what has gotten in to me??

I went home for a few days over the weekend. I love being home but it seems like I do more work there than I do here. Sorta like my family sees the opportunity for a "new" person to do all the cleaning and washing around the house. And my oldest brother was sick so I was taking care of him and my other brother was just in a mood that pissed everyone off. But I went to Ravinia with my parents on Friday night and saw Daniel Barenboim take the stage for the first time in 30 years and for the first time since the controversial program he did in Israel. The first piece was him conducting and playing piano...a Mozart piece and the second was Mahler's 1st. I love that work....has nothing to do with the fact that there is a bass solo in it that sets the mood for the entire third movement!

It looks like I will have a place to stay in the fall. Nothing is definite yet, and I am a little apprehensive about this, but I'd rather just have someplace to stay and get this ordeal of looking over with. Some guys I know from the dorm years have a house for the year and need someone for the year. But they haven't found a year-lease-looking-person so they'd rather have a one-semester person than no one. So I'd possilby be living with 8 guys...several of which I've never met! Yickes! I wonder how my parents will like this idea.....

Ok, that's all. Bye
